The item is pretty stretched from being hung all its life, but not, amazingly, just at the shoulders. It's just elongated and looser than size smalls in this style, more like a skinnier medium. It also hangs extremely unevenly on the sides. This was not unexpected, though. It's a great dress either way! Gotta love the stripes!
