Wow! It’s so beautiful! I’m 90% sure it is the shell of an antique Tam O’ Shantar coin purse, possibly hung on or attached to a belt. The remaining red fabric is the remnant of what would have been the expandable bag portion. Late 1800’s. What a terrific find, will play around with it to see if I can “restore”. Lovely piece of work and history, thrilled!! Many thanks for sharing such an unusual piece!
