It served my purpose. Used it tonight to make my own cat food with raw chicken thighs(bone in). I wanted to see if my cat would actually eat this new raw concoction before I invest in an electric one which takes less time to grind. It ground up the bones nicely with the larger disc, and then passed the mixture thru the grinder again using the other disc w the smaller holes. A good old fashioned way to experiment!
