Dear Mary, Wow! What a gorgeous Breyer Secretariat! I adore it! It definitely is in a special place among my beautiful Breyer horse collection! He looks so real, and I am thrilled to own this stunning Breyer model/replica of Secretariat! He is a special horse to me and to millions of others including you! I had been waiting for years to have another Triple Crown winner since Citation in 1948. And Sectetariat accomplished it in 1973!!!🐎. How wonderful that his Belmont win was the first horse race that you ever saw on TV…a win by 31 lengths with a new track record for the Belmont!!! I didn’t see the live race, but I have seen the recorded version many times! It’s unbelievable every time that I watch that race!!! Have you seen the movie, Secretariat, about his life that was produced a number of years ago? It’s a wonderful movie!!! Also, I read a wonderful book about Secretariat by William Nack. Highly recommend it! I have loved horses all of my life. As a young girl, I owned and rode two three-gated American Saddlebred horses, a chestnut gelding and a chestnut mare. Also, I followed Thoroughbred racing for years. However, I moved on to some other interests, so I don’t follow this sport now as much as I did. So, this Breyer Secretariat is perfect for me! Thank you for listing him on Poshmark and for the picture of the horse that you drew and for the cute thank you card with your gracious and thoughtful thank you note inside. You are quite a talented artist! I’ll keep the picture you drew and put it near my new Secretariat! I used to sketch horses occasionally when I was younger, and they were sketches like yours.
