my mailman was on vacation, backup mailman could not be bothered. So my 5 packages and two weeks of mail was on vacation as well at the post office. Just picked it up - comment was "customer requested at door to pick up at the post office". So, that means he would have had to ring my doorbell, and instead of handing me my packages, I would have had to say, oh, no, I'll pick it up next week at the post office, where you can lose it and I can wait over an hour in line and another 1/2 hour while you try to find them and my mail.
