The depicted 7 hair strands could also be taken for Sun rays or Star points. Highly intriguing, a 7 Pointed Star is the Cherokee (Ani’-Yun’wiya “The Real People”) National Symbol with each point representing one of the 7 Tribes that make up the Cherokee Nation. Furthermore, the use of the star is said to reference their undying fire and passion. Their philosophy: To maintain balance, harmony, cooperation & respect within the community, between people & the rest of nature. 7 is also a statement for Peace.
