Well maintained. considering its age...particularly given the fact that there was apparently never a good strategy in adhering the black round beads to the jacket, several of which fell off on my slightest try-on of the jacket (and whose absence honestly you cannot see anyway). As for the general look of the piece, I believe that the swirls are regrettably a bit understated (almost indistinguishable from the background under yellow light). This seems to be due to the close adjacency of of the high-shine purple sequins to even darker black high shine sequins. Tactically, this is a piece that would have necessitated the use of MATTE sequins in order to make the pattern pop. Had the purple sequins been a lighter lilac and perhaps MATTE, then the swirls would pop against the shiny black background (right now, under yellow light, the pattern is entirely washed out, so you basically just have a dark looking jacket (particularly because the black just makes the already-dark shade of plum purple even darker). Still a lovely piece, though I think I will use this as an elegant evening coat, as opposed to the main ensemble, as thankfully I have more impactful blazers to wear indoors.
