goobers_girl . @sdg1rl I developed a brain “ issue “ a few years ago after becoming overheated while working outdoors in 100 degree weather. I have yet to get an official diagnosis, but my memory, both long and short term, is tremendously effected. When it first began I had no recall of my personal information and history, or that of my family. We thought it was transient global amnesia ( which I have had before ) but it obviously is not.

goobers_girl . I have been to docs, specialists, the full gamut, but still no diagnosis. They all say the same thing,”I just don’t know”. I have had all the tests you can imagine, and all were fine. I have my own theory, but It is quite lengthy.

goobers_girl BTW: I had also recently had a sleeve gastrectomy. But we don’t think the two are related. I also have lost 100 or so pounds. However, my appetite returned after my memory episode. It is almost as if my body forgot that it has a tiny little stomach and should not eat carbohydrates. So, I am stalled.
