1017 ALYX 9SM is an Italian based luxury label founded in 2015 by American fashion designer/entrepreneur Matthew Williams. Williams started out in the music biz, originally working alongside Kanye West in 2008 before becoming Lady Gaga's creative director. The label merges luxury streetwear with high fashion and leatherwear, with a dash of NYC skate, punk & club subcultures, for an aggressively elegant style that is popular among celebs like Robert Pattinson, Bella Hadid & The Weekend. Aside from covetable streetwear, accessories, sneaker collabs, and buckled leatherwear, ALYX also designs some very slick men's & women's wear and shoes. The textured black leather Leone boot is from the FW2023 collection, and features a squared off toe, a polished Cuban heel, and a sharply sculpted leather platform. This pair is size EU40 and while it just fits my size 9.5 feet, I can't quite get the back zipper closed. The ankle circumference measures 9.25". Will fit size 9 or 9.5, as long as you have slender ankles. Worn once, not for very long - light scuffs on soles, otherwise in virtually new condition.
