14K Belly Ring

Purchased at a local jewelry store. Was advised this is 14K gold, but no stamp. I believe this is real gold as I have a sensitivity to other metals and I did not suffer any irritation, but have no way to prove it. Dime for size reference. Belly ring has been boiled in hot water for 30 minutes and soaked in rubbing alcohol for 5 minutes.
