1949 Movado Automatic Watch HS288 Tempo-Magic

Absolutely stunning Swiss-made HS288 Tempomatic vintage timepiece from Movado. Dial is stamped “Swiss Made” at bottom, and “August 15, 1949” and “Tempo-matic” under the hand set. Applied indices and minute marker track along outside. About 36mm across the case, for a classy statement piece that doesn’t take up too much wrist space. Date window at 3 o’clock. This watch keeps time impeccably but has a quirk where the date changes at 6am, rather than 12am. Should be fine as long as you’re not an early riser 🤷. Some fading to plating along bracelet.
