1950s gorgeous black and red taffeta scalloped dress

A sublime 1950s party dress, in a rare larger size. two layers of taffeta, black on top with a scarlet red underneath, which peaks through the eyelet embroidery on the black layer. double scalloped neckline, short sleeves. full swishy skirt. looks beautiful with a petticoat! I love this dress because it's versatile for many occasions and seasons because of the short sleeves and the colours. I can't decide if I like it more as a moody summer dress or as a Christmas / Valentine's dress! recommended for size large - extra large. bust up to 48", waist 32" or tight 33", and 44" length. condition is consistent with age, I would say good vintage condition. some imperfections but nothing showstopping. see pics - wearing under arms, mostly on the red lining which does not show when worn. a couple pinholes throughout, and some slight wrinkling at the waist (photo shows some sheen but it's just the image, there's no iron sheen on the dress). smoke and pet free home. reasonable offers accepted, message for any questions. please have a look at my closet for other true vintage items, more to be posted weekly. thanks for shopping my closet! party dress, MCM, 1940s, 1950s, embroidery, holiday, summer, vintage
