1960s Marguerite Patten's Recipe Cards in Box blue by Paul Hamlyn Ltd England

A vintage blue and clear plastic recipe card box, filled with Marguerite Patten´s recipe cards for all occasions, (c) Paul Hamlyn Ltd 1967. The set is is fairly full but I don´t know if it is complete, with most of the cards present having marks of age and use, including some discoloration or stains to the paper, and edge scuffs, creases or folds. There seem to be more recipes regarding baking, preserves and meat dishes as compared to the Betty Crocker recipe cards, and there is a section for your own recipes (with a stack of blank cards). About half the images are in colour, the other half monochrome. The lid can be taken off with ease (not hinged or attached), so you´ll have quick and unhindered access to your recipe library. The bottom box with a cute carving set pictured in silvery outline, with marks of age and use. There is staining and scuffing to the clear acrylic lid, including a big crack line down the middle. Overall this is a fun set to gift to a student, someone moving to College or as a housewarming gift. Or why not try a few ´new´ recipes yourself for the holidays?
