1964 YSL 100% Silk Scarf

This piece came from a collector who had over 2,500 silk scarves. This piece is different than any in the collection. This is the oldest YSL piece I have ever come across. You can see in the photos it’s hand rolled, hand stretched and hand stitched silk. Quiet remarkable. It was perfectly preserved in a plastic bag since approximately 1967 they think. The material is soft as melted butter. It feels like heaven to the skin. I love the colours of this piece so much in that it’s so versatile for everyday wear. Beautiful with a white or cream knit, stunning as a head wrap, fabulous with jeans, or dress it up and pull the blues in it for a nautical feel. It’s a 26” 26” square and there is absolutely zero damage to note. This one is a true piece of history. It has been steamed professionally and ready to be enjoyed.
