She made me (well asked but we all know when mom's ask it's really not asking lol) go over to to the house & take pictures. Then wake up me at the butt crack of dawn and ask if she got any "followers" haha. Gotta love her 💕

A lei is a way of celebrating your affection for that person and since it's a circle it means it's never ending. Lei is given on any occasion & when people come to the islands they are met with a lei. When people go off island and comeback the person picking them up usually celebrates with a lei. I thinking about the Lei's for my 2 girls: one graduating from middle school and another from high school. Their ceremonies are a day apart. I'm also graduating the same week with my doctorate. However, buying 3 Lei's is a bit steep. Is there a bit of discount for 2 for my girls? The 8th grader loves cranes, the senior not so much. Are there other origami figures?

@fabloot In Hawaii, the lei has a lot of meaning. It symbolizes your feeling for the person you're giving it to but not in a romantic way. It's like a circle of love or friendship. Since it's a circle & connected together, there is no ending. Sorta like your feeling for that person will go on. Hard to explain, lol. It's more of a feeling, like friendship but on a deeper level. Everything is handmade including the ribbons (not the beads though lol) and at best mom could probably make it in 5 days & even if Posh offered expedited shipping it wouldn't make it in time from Hawaii. If she added more ribbon and beads she said it would cost about the same as making 20 cranes. Everything including the ribbons are handmade. Sorry about that! Let me know if you're still interested.
