coppeliasc @jhunt411 My grandfather bought it for my grandmother on their honeymoon in 1966 in Puerto Vallarta when my mother was born. Back then Gucci had stores and made bags in Mexico. But I have done independent research as well.

lisabord Gucci considers the bags made in Mexico to be "fake" bags. There is plenty of information about it on the web, if you take a deep dive.

coppeliasc @lisabord I have taken a deep dive myself and find that Statment untrue. Especially since they licensed it themselves in the 60s. They might not agree with licensing TODAY... but whoever was in charge in 1966 did agree.
