Simulated grey pearl necklace, realistic looking and designed by the former jewelry designer for the Duchess of Windsor, Carolee Friedlander. This piece features two decadent rows of rich, luminous pearls on an adjustable length silver setting with sturdy clasp. It measures 13.5”L, has a a hook clasp, 3.5”L extender with large, decadent 12mm grey pearls and is signed Carolee on the silver heart at the end of the extender.
An architect by training, Carolee Friedlander founded the popular jewelry brand Carolee in 1972. According to Friedlander, she started her business on the kitchen table, creating a necklace of various beads and crystals. First of all, she wanted to create such jewelry and accessories that would force women not only to buy them, but also to collect.
Noteworthy, the first Carolee store opened in Bloomingdales New York in 1989. In 1995, Carolee launched a joint collection with Ralph Lauren. And next year, she created the iconic collection of Jewelry Inspired by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and later for the Duchess of Windsor!
