You can tell authentic Chanel bags by the craftsmanship, the date code (for bags older than 2021 because newer bags now have microchips), and also their authenticity card should match the date code. I longer have the authenticity card for this bag, but the datecode is perfectly intact and photographed. I also have several additional listings with more detailed pictures too.

Hello. Is the crease or bow bend at base mean in the lower front, or bottom?

@rose2761 hi Rose 🤍 The crease/bow is on the bottom of the bag and it wobbles or leans when the bag is on a flat surface. This doesn’t affect the use of the bag at all but I like to be as thorough as possible for all my listings. This Chanel is in excellent condition 🥰 Thank you so much for considering shopping with me!

@rose2761 you’re welcome! I’m not sure what caused it because I purchased it this way from the previous owner. However I’ve seen this in many vintage bags and it usually happens with normal use and depending on how the bag was stored. It was probably previously stored a bit squished or carried often close to the body/under the arm.

I wouldn’t say its a flaw or issue that needs to be fixed. Since I’ve had it I’ve stored it with bubble paper stuffing and it has helped a lot to reshape it so the bow/crease isnt very noticeable. I also have new Chanel bags in my collection that don’t have bowing at the base and they don’t sit perfectly straight on flat surfaces either. I hope this info helps! 🥰
