Do you know the metal? And why are they called southern cross?

@susiedotperson hi! I believe they're real silver, because they're pretty dense and a bit tarnished (easy to clean with a little polish), but I'm not 100% sure.
As for the southern cross, I'm not sure! I just associate it with the southwest and central America, like the New Mexico flag/symbol :)
