Meet Kerlin! (Why I Posh)

Meet Kerlin! At 9 years old she’s an art chic with a vivid imagination and a growing interest in jewelry design. With a feisty streak that can help her rise above her circumstances, and a flair for fashion that may propel her far, she’s got something special going on! The family lives in a home cobbled together from plywood walls, a cement floor and corrugated metal roof on the outskirts of Guatemala City, in one of the biggest urban centers in the world. They use community taps for their water needs and cook on a camp stove. When she started sponsorship through Children International she was severely malnourished, loosing hair, suffering from stunted growth and out of school. Now starting to brim with confidence, turning into a fashionista and her pictures reflect a growing self esteem.
