My Mom purchased this for me from a fancy re-sale shop on NYC's Madison Avenue, so it's probably the real deal, but since it was not purchased from a CHANEL boutique, you'll have to examine the photos for yourself, as I have only ever had two or three CHANEL bags of my own, so I am not an expert! The bag is in perfect condition and is made of high-quality black leather with impeccable craftsmanship. I would guess that the bag is from the 1990s as it doesn't feel stiff or old, but I can't find a similar style in the current CHANEL lineup online, so probably an older style that has been discontinued.
