SOLD Givenchy Very Rare Vintage Black Patent Top Handle 4G Handbag

This beautiful kelly / box style Givenchy handbag was purchased in December 1999. It is in such beautiful condition, it was actually hard to photograph (all I saw was myself in the shiny reflection). It was definitely used for the first several years, so there is light wear throughout (see photos). The interior and the four G’s are plain leather vs patent giving it a nice contrast. There is one zippered compartment inside. Magnetic clasp closure. It still has beautiful structure! Such a classic bag. The name plate can twist if you press down on it, so you will want to be mindful when placing items in the bag. Approximately 9 1/2” length on bottom (8” on top), 8 1/2” tall and 3 1/2” wide. In my search to find the style name, I found similar others from that date with the same golden name plate, golden handle rings and the Tohpo fastener (a patented magnetic fastener used by a lot of designers in that era), but not a single one like this! Amazingly, I still have the receipt.
