Vintage 1980s Swee Lo Silver Sequin Silk Surplice Neck Long Sleeve Midi Cocktail Party Dress Absolutely stunning, sparkly, timeless, statement cocktail dress from international couture designer Swee Lo. Likely from the 1980s, but could be as old as between 1963-1972. Ivory colored 100% silk; For the most part, the silk is still in very good condition. In a few small spots (most notably the underarms) the silk has started to thin, but there aren't any holes. Please tap & zoom on the collage photo for details. Surplice neckline with a hook & eye closure Semi-sheer 3/4 blouson sleeves with elasticized wrists Elasticized waist (elastic is still in good condition and offers at least another 3"+ of tolerance) Falls about knee or midi length. Length from the shoulder seam to the hem is right at about 46". The rows of silver sequins are also in impressive condition and incandescently sparkly! They look to be hand sewn & there are only a few missing. An example can be seen on the bottom two photos of the quad photo collage- that spot is on the lower left front, near the hem. The body is lined, the sleeves are not. The only truly notable flaw can be seen in the close-up photos of the right sleeves: There's a caramel-colored spot, about the size of a quarter, that I haven't tried to spot clean.
