sandralee45 @bubagoga No. the width of a shoe in the normal sense is the top part of shoewhete foot goes If you read my question, you will see that I asked you to measure ACROSS the very bottom of sole at arch area.

sandralee45 @bubagoga I tried to send a photo of what I wanted. A photo of the very bottom of shoe (sole) after turning shoe over, with a tape measure going across the arch/midfoot area. Should be anywhere between 2" and 4"

sandralee45 @bubagoga Checking out the sites that sell the same shoes new that you are selling to get info on the shoes's heel counter which is important to my Pttd foot problem. It seems the heel counter might be padded but not firm like I need. U'll let you know.
