The high- quality rubies are Marquis cut and are the petals for the flower in each earring. Each petal is secured with gold prongs. The earrings were a gift for me and bought in Shanghai. Originally posts, I had them converted to screw backs due to an allergy. I believe they can be reconverted. The chain is also gold. The gold is solid 14 K. Flower size approximately 4.5 mm.
