You will receive the exact item in the photos. The box does show some signs of aging with scuffs and a couple indentations here and there, and the end has the remnants of what looks like a price sticker. The letter holder does stick up just a bit above the level of the box. As well, the stainless steel of the letter opener and also *both* the horses’ necks on the letter holder each have one tiny slightly darker spot on them—see second to last photo. I think each of these was from the manufacturing process, as otherwise they are in lovely condition. Also, there is a bit of tear-away in the retainer in the box for the letter opener. Please look at the photos as they are a part of the description.
The American quarter and the envelope are for scale and display only; not included. I have a non-smoking and pet-friendly home. As well, I use some recycled packaging materials.
Thanks for looking, and please ask any questions!

Hi! What do the red circles mean? Are they flawed? Thanks! 🌸

@bohogirly Hi! In each of the red circles is a slightly darker spot on the metal.

Hi, Are these two pieces marked with a copywrite and a year? What year were they retired and do you know why? Thank you for the courtesy of your response, Joan

@joanloveslabs Hi! So, the letter holder is marked with what looks like ACourt, the copywrite symbol, and 2001. See new last photo.
I don’t find any marks on the letter opener, except the words Stainless—steel, presumably—and the place of manufacture as Taiwan.
The set was given to me as a gift, so I don’t know lots more, except that when I looked on the Arthur Court website, I could not find this item, so it must be retired.
