@sueonley6 Hi! No this is definitely not gold. A gold necklace like this would cost thousands. I believe it is bronze and gold plated. If an item is authentically silver it would be stamped .925. VSA does make silver items with that stamp, however I don't see the stamp on this particular item. VSA is a luxury brand because every single jewelry piece is hand made, one by one. No piece is the same as another. They are similar in design but uniquely made. One of a Kind. Happy New Year!

Items handmade and handcrafted are of great value because most everything now is cheaply manufactured by a machine in a factory. These factory produced items are made to break apart very easily. So why bother getting cheap jewelry? Fine metals such as gold and silver are very expensive and cost thousands.
