I adore this dress and wish it still fit. The fabric is a sheer iridescent purple polyester (probably—yard sale find) with gold lotus flowers and gold leaf decorations at the bottom. Waist is gold ribbon. Buttons are bronze lotus flower buttons bought on Etsy. Underlined in purple polyester satin from Joann. From a Simplicity pattern, so likely pattern size 14. I was about a size 8 at the time, 34B-29-39. This dress has a circle skirt and an illusion neckline (meaning you can see through the part above the bust), and a peplum at the hem to show off the gold leaf. There are two buttons at back and you’ll need someone to help you into it. There are some sewing mistakes that create pleats at the bust. I really wish I had a realistic chance of fitting into this again and I want whoever wears it next to love it too.
