I've never taken it out of the package. (We switched to a king size after purchase... oops!). I always thought I'd use it in a guest room, but we found that room only accommodates a double, not a queen. I love the taupe color with the gold pattern. It also has a sparkly gold thread which makes it look formal and classy. It is washable! It has a soft/slick feel. It might snag if caught on something. Probably not good for a kid's room or pets.
