Tadashi Shoji’s 2007 Fall/Winter runway included this beautiful 100% crinkled silk chiffon dress (in black), and in ivory it is perfect for a wedding or other formal event. The basket woven bodice is gorgeous, and the asymmetrical zipper allows the dress to gracefully wrap itself around your body. The dress skirt consists of three layers, the top of course is the same crinkled silk chiffon as the bodice, and two layers of polyester underneath to help it glide. The skirt is shaped to have a short train, and I have tried to show that in the pictures. This dress swishes beautifully around your legs while you walk, and it’s impossible to not catch the attention of everyone in the room. I purchased this in 2007 from Nordstrom, and wore it once. It hasn’t been worn any other times, and has been kept in a garment bag. No rips, stains, or tears. There is some discoloration due to age, and the hem has some places where it brushed against the floor during the performance. I have taken pictures of these. A trip to the dry cleaners would probably take care of everything, and it would come out perfectly gorgeous.
