A simple yet gracefully cut dress by Eileen Fisher. Casual and easy-fitting, but with elevated details that make it special. This retired version of a seasonal favorite features narrower straps and a slightly more scooped neckline than more recent iterations. Gently shaped through the bodice and generously flared in the skirt, which falls a little longer to the curved hem in back. Narrow string belt can be tied in front or back to add a little shaping - or skipped altogether, if you like. High calf length in front, low calf length in back. Delave' (cross-dyed) linen of black and white yarns gives more texture and a denim effect. The overall color effect is a darkish grey. Machine washable and dryable. I like the laundered, rumpled look with just the slightest touch-up with an iron (as pictured), but it can also be ironed smooth or left alone. Very gently washed and worn. No flaws that I can find.
