funwithleather @guinasavage Sure- measuring around inside of top of boot shaft they are 14.25” around. That is 12.5” from the bottom of your heel to where the 14.25” circumference hits. I hope that is helpful- they aren’t really “broken in” at the ankles, they will probably drop a bit with wear (if your calf is close …). Happy to answer any other questions. Lisa

guinasavage Hi, I have 2 questions please. what is the circumference around the top opening of these boots? and, it appears there are stains near the top, back side of the boots?

funwithleather @guinasavage good morning! Both questions have already been addressed in comments- the top circumference is 14.25” at 12.5” from the bottom of your heel & the “stains” are a factory thing. They’re the same darker purple dye as the Frye emblem (see last 2 photos) and I have a pair in a different size with the same marks on back of shaft. The ankles of these boots aren’t really “broken in” yet so the height will drop a little bit with wear. I hope this is helpful- thanks for looking! Lisa

funwithleather @jazzzyjazz …here’s what I do- if it’s not the difference between groceries or no groceries. My husband likes wine- I sweetly suggest that he should buy himself some extravagant wine, then I get the boots. 😂🤷🏽‍♂️ Maybe it’s fishing rods or golf clubs in your house but it sometimes works out! LMK what the verdict is on that. I’m not averse to the idea of keeping them, either. I will lyk if I become more flexible on price over time. Thanks! Lisa
