I started colts & rode troubled horses (read “spoiled horses with dingbat owners”....) for 20 years. I get offered really nice, athletic horses who nobody wants to touch because they buck. I generally get along with them. You train outside horses or just ride your own??

funwithleather @christineschem - my husband is a vet- works mostly on upper level dressage/event horses. It makes him batty that I ride criminals. Yours look quite impressive- mine have to rope cattle, pony horses, fox hunt, jump cross country, and beat brush for rogue steers! No specializing...🤣

Broncs are a little harder on you as you age & injuries catch up- but those big, fancy things are a lot of horse to ride, too.

funwithleather @christineschem I’ll check him out! I used to ride horses on & off the track- some of the most fun, game horses around. My 17 h chestnut (I’m 5’9” & still get on from my truck bed!) has no papers, but he’s off a good ranch & looks to be appendix & paint. I used to get lots of paints for training- not bred for brains or feet.... mine is an ok dude- just doesn’t suffer fools. Husbands mare is half draft & ranch trained- she’s solid gold!

I see “fancy” horses getting away with nonsense that a cheap horse gets smacked for. You treat them like they’re Precious, they act Precious.... ridiculous.

funwithleather @christineschem sounds like just my type! I’ve been lucky enough to get friendly with some very good hands out here. Ranch guys- same kind of thing. I bought the grey out of my friends’ ranch cavvy- she roped wild mustangs, pulled Ford trucks out of snowbanks, steers out of bogs, doctored cattle alone & rode 10 hour days. She’s 7 & thinks she is on permanent vacation now!! I like a horse that has known wet saddle blankets.

My friend Ida is the Miniature cattle Queen of Colorado- so I help mind her freak show of several hundred cows. It’s a hoot. Retire here! Mountains are very soothing...

Bits, bridles, parts, pads, spare reins, whatever. Always use that stuff! My hoard of roping tack is huge- but I sold lots of my old Event tack...

funwithleather @christineschem I’ve never been one to go with more bit instead of fixing the problem, but this is a big, older horse who is just dirty sometimes- pelham might be just as good! I’m not spending another 3 hours getting my arms ripped out, though. Mom riding is so much fun- she is crazy & half crippled, but she worked 3 jobs so I could ride as a kid.... I’m delighted to have a horse for her!!

I think you could “reply” to my comment on your listing (for next time you’re trying to chat with someone…)- it took me a while to get the hang of this Poshmark thing but in general the buyers & sellers are very nice & transactions are fair. Do not communicate with people who ask you to email or sell off-site… always will be a scammer!! I’ll see if I can possibly justify a grey bag. LB

piaggio I saw boots on chasingroses and commented "Nice Boots"! A day or so later she offers me a discounted price. Keep in mind I had no knowledge that "Liking" meant I'm a hopeful customer. I thank her for the offer but said I can't purchase them right now. A day or so later she offeres a lower discount. My black boots are worn thin and hers were really nice. I bought them. piaggio So what happened next is the left boot has a cut on the heel and its torn some or frayed. So I let her know and she said that was listed in the pictures and descriptions. I didn't see any pictures or descriptions. It took me 2 hours to figure out that your supposed to tap the top picture to see the description and photos! I'm in hot water my Fair weather leather friend!

funwithleather @piaggio uh-oh… Poshmark has pretty clear policies on returns if flaws are visible or mentioned in listing-seller is always a good first step. It may not help but you can chat with Posh Support and ask if there is anything else to do. Go to your account/purchases/click on details of purchase & scroll down to problems/order inquiry & tap that. It should give you the option of Posh support. I made one bad purchase when I first got on site & had to eat it. So sorry & good luck! LB
