Very Rare Antique Art Deco 1920s Filigree Golden Paste Stone Black Bracelet. I tested this Bracelet for every metal in my acid metal testing kit because it has Not faded in 100 years. The one that made me excited was that when I tested for Platinum, it faded however, not super fast so, I'm Stumped! Whatever it is, doesn't tarnish! It has very intricate lacy filigree work and a bezel set Golden Paste Stone. Paste Stone is a Special kind of Flint Glass that emulates a number of gemstones. Dating all the way back to the mid 18th century by a jeweler named Georges Frederic Stras, who worked as a jeweler to the King when he moved from Strasbourg to Paris in 1774. Paste is a difficult labor intensive thing to produce. I have a LOT of Jewelry to share as many of my Posh friends know, ladies, this is one of the Rarest! It measures 5/16" wide. The widest inner diameter is 2.25" and fits a Small to Medium wrist. It will fit up to a 7" wrist comfortably. The closure is two buttons, one on each side, that you push in to open and close. In Excellent Antique condition. After a precious Posher (Kay) sent me some info, I've decided that I believe this is probably made of Steel, which was started in the Georgian Era (1700s). It's harder than a Rock! It continued through the years & I do still date this piece to the 1920s. Item 986.
