HANDBLOWN & PAINTED GRAAL VASE WITH RUNNIG HORSES

Beautiful handmade vase of running horses on a varied colored background of browns, gold, and reds. The vase is approximately 7.5 inches tall, 5.5 inches at the widest point, 3 3/8 inches across the top, and 2.5 inches at the base. The vase weighs almost 5 lbs. The vase was made in 2007. the year is etched into the base. The artist has signed it in the paint, and the glassblower has etched his signature on the bottom. Local PNW artist Beth Shira Carver (1943-2011) would paint on a glass "blank" using special paints. She then took it to Uptown Glassworks in Renton, WA, where glassblower Sean Kif would blow it into the shape you see. Beth was self-taught in the technique. it took her a couple of tries before she got it down, but she kept trying until she was happy with the results. Others of her work are listed. Bundle and save!
