@elegantgoldie sure the Rachel Comey piece has a stitched cut out slit so shirt rests comfortably against body for more movement. The sides are open about 4 1/2 inches. It's such a beautiful top in person. like” whoa” ! Above the rest of the measurements;) hope this helps
