This sweater is brand new and never worn. There are no stains or holes. The reviews on the madewell site are all over the spectrum about quality and sizing. I had purchased one as a gift, and the recipient noted that a bigger size is needed if you want to wear layers underneath. She's 5"4 and it hit at the top of her hip. It is boxy. She did not have a big problem with pilling. It's more like normal wear and tear. As for itchiness- that is a personal preference. The zipper is in working condition.
