This iconic sweater, long a staple in Soft Surroundings' inventory is no longer available. Good thing I have one for you. I am also a knitter so in order to justify another yarn buy I need to make room in the armoire so our friend needs a new home. This sweater in lavender is an XL but not a huge XL. See my measurements below. My opinion is it is like an ovesized L. The fiber content is 55% acrylic, 23% wool and 22% mohair and washes well. Instructions are hand wash cold and tumble dry low. I washed it on the wool cycle of my LG washer (NO agitation) using tap cold water and low spin. I laid it flat to dry and tumbled it on low with dryer balls and a bath towel when it was mostly dry. It fluffs up nicely. I also would also do that when I took it out to wear. It’s warm, by the way. Easily can stand as an outerwear piece in warmer climes. Measurements: 36” from center back of the neck to the hem of the sleeve unrolled. It has allowed for a very long rolled cuff at 6 1/2” so if you have long arms, not to worry. I would roll it twice. 38” long torso from the center back of the neck to the hem of the sweater. 48” bust if you lay the sweater flat and overlap the two front pieces, so plenty of room. 24” across the bottom of each front panel at the hemline and 27” across the back panel so plenty of sweep. Now you need a fabulous brooch for that shawl collar.
