Thank you for your interest 😄 No, I'm sorry this is not a crossbody, but it does look like both handles can come plenty off, like a belt. looks like handles can be replaced, but These are double adjustable handles, each handle strap is approx 25.75 Inches, with three adjustable holes in each handle. I've never removed the plastic. Bag is new, with tags, warranty's card, and cleaning sponge. Thanks for asking. Take Care
