Similar to how people who are unrelated, can look very much like each other, this is the case with Moissanite and Diamonds. The Mohs scale of hardness gives moissanite a 9.25-9.5 rating, making it a highly tough stone. The hardest known natural substance is a diamond, which has a hardness rating of 10. Although Moissanite appears quite similar to diamond from a distance, it is a magnificent stone all by itself. It's not just appealing or desirable because it looks like a diamond, though this doesn’t hurt 😊 ℹ️Diamond Testers This will pass most diamond testers, because most testers are extremely affordable, and cannot distinguish between moissanite and diamonds: Since moissanite reflects light similar to a diamond it registers as a diamond with most testers. Then there are gemstone testers that are VERY expensive which can distinguish between moissanite and diamonds. I am happy to report that this bracelet, each and every moissanite stone did register as “moissanite” when using the more advanced testing equipment 👏
