So I’m back in school again!
But this time for something VERY different:
Astrophysics/High Energy Particle Research
Very male-dominated field and in Hawaii,
it’s incredibly cutthroat:
💫University of Hawaii has one of the
Top astrophysics programs in the country!
The only woman currently in almost all of my classes, I have to really go above and beyond and I’ve done that— I have a chance to work on a project under the department head in Antarctica called the ANITA
Google this; it’s fascinating.
But it is so expensive to live here, esp while I take care if Mom, but I cannot miss a semester or I’m out😓
I really appreciate all of you♥️

@abbeyroadonmaui I'm so sad watching the # of those that have died. So many throughout the islands are at risk of fire. Everything is dry over here, too. I hope you're in a safe area. Most of Veteran's Villiage (Palolo) is made up of old plantation style wooden houses. I'm alert day and night. The Rock crashing through a house a few months ago was on my block.

@thewalkencloset no that’s part of the problem— nothing seems to be getting here onto the island and out to the people… it’s getting dumped.
I don’t have any kids and a friend of mine who owns tattoo shop. She didn’t have any kids either but she does have a bunch of diapers at least in different wipes, toilet papers and such that she said on BookFace come on over Mom’s and grab them. ..
That’s how strange this all is
