This beautiful pair of vintage, pre-1965, Tony Lama cowboy boots is a RARE FIND, it's almost impossible to get a pair of straight top Tony Lama boots from this era, I'm assuming due to the fact that the straight top is considered more of a work boot (cowboy fact: For riding, a straight top is preferred as it allows for a more secure fit with chaps), and not many survived into the 21st century! And the straight top is a better leg lengthening look as well, so more flattering! (Along with the pointed toe!)
These are the high end "Gold Label" line (not the Black Label, which didn't exist in the 1960s), and it's clear they are fantastically well made, including using the traditional technique of "lemon peg soling", considered the gold standard for custom boots, which gives a much longer lasting sole. The contrast light top stitching is an intricate & eyec-atching design.
These are a one of a kind collectors item pair of Tony Lamas, and real beauties!
