Antique Victorian Copper Silk Bodice With Purple Trim For Study Or Pattern Only

A genuine antique Victorian 1800s copper brown silk high neck vintage bodice blouse with ruched pleated purple silk trim and a pigeon front. Extra extra small. This antique piece is extremely small and I do not recommend trying to wear it, although, it is in good structural condition. Bust only 27 -28" Waist 22" Across the shoulder is only 14" The sleeves are extremely tight. The beautiful copper silk is figured and the purple trim is an unusual touch for the Victorian era. The sleeves have the same trim as does the neck. It has the fastening hooked inner bodice with the puffed overlayer on top. It is lined in polished cotton fabric with stays and hand stitching. This lovely bodice is in good condition with a tear on the one elbow, a tear at the neck, and the inner cotton lining is splitting at areas. The silk is sound, but it will Not take stress to the fabric. It is antique silk and it will split with strain.
