This stunning vintage dress is full of romantic details. It was made in the 1970s by a very talented seamstress from Simplicity Gunne Sax pattern #5828 (see the last pic for a photo of this pattern.) Elegantly trimmed with lace along the neckline and finished with pearly buttons. The high collar splits into a v-neckline. Leg o' mutton puffed sleeves taper to delicately trimmed wrists, and sash ties help cinch the waist. Full skirt is knee length, with a ruffled flounce at the hem and lace trim. The material is lightweight and woven; it feels like cotton or a cotton-rich blend. It's ivory with tiny lavender rosebuds and subtle pink stippling in the background of the print. Unlined. Closes with a back zip. No fabric content or care tag; dry clean recommended.
Small (<1/4") spot on left shoulder, see the 6th and 7th pics. There's another mark at the back of the waist on the right side, see the 9th and 10th pics. Light wear to the material from washing throughout. In great vintage condition overall, wearable and gorgeous!
