This piece is absolutely stunning. Hand died and strung long ago, the iridescent quality on these trochus shells is reminiscent of opals, jewels of the sea in a melange of purple, lavender, blue, cream and green. The color is filled with depth, perfectly aged over the decades, in a long rope to adorn yourself in. MCM 40’s or 50’s, cotton threading, a section of shell loss, shown in photos.
