VINTAGE BOX BAG 50s Tortoiseshell-Acrylic Mini Purse

Striking 50s box bag is acrylic and in excellent condition. These leopard patterned lucite bags are rare and hard to find. 1 owner- my mom. Measurement of box is 6 7/8 long x 3 wide x 4 top to bottom, and then the handle extends up 2.5 high. Hinges are brass and handle attachment is a brass pin on each side that moves easily. Latches with an integrated small acrylic piece in the tortoise color and snaps into place on a very small acrylic ball knob- see video. The top and bottom parts are each 1 piece curved front to back and then the flat sides are attached- seaming is immaculate. The pattern in the acrylic is gorgeous with a richness and dimension in the light- semitransparent mottled yellow and brown like the shell of certain turtles. This is lightweight yet sturdy.
