lexialonso Hi! AE made two versions of this jean. The originals had almost no give at the waistband and then they must have changed the fabric slightly and they started making the waistband way more stretchy. Is this pair really stretchy at the waist or does it just barely stretch? I’m trying to find the originals only! Thank you 😁

acottonthread @lexialonso that is very interesting, thanks for teaching me that. These do have some stretch in the waist, not 100% cotton so probably not the originals. There should be a date tag photo in the listing that can help you out. Thanks!

lexialonso @acottonthread oooo that date tag is actually super helpful. You might have one of the originals. My super stretchy pair is from 2024 and my not so stretchy is from 2023. I know it’s obviously hard to tell when you don’t have both to compare to like I do lol I probably sound so psycho but the originals are my absolute favorite pair of jeans ever so I’m the hunt!! Thanks so much for the quick reply, I am definitely considering purchasing.

acottonthread @lexialonso I’ll pull them out and see if I can add a video to the listing showing the stretch. Not sure if that will help or not but worth a a try.

lexialonso @acottonthread oh my gosh actually I just saw that they did in fact change the cotton amount! The OGs had 93% and the newer ones have 80%. You have the ones I’m looking for yay!!! Thanks so much for posting all the tag info!! Purchasing now 😁😁
