Absolutely beautiful! That's the only way to describe this incredible -- and incredibly soft -- camel-colored suede coat from the 1960's. Made by Highlander and sold at the iconic (and now defunct) Adler's department store in Kansas City, Missouri. Original Adler's tag included in an envelope with two spare buttons. Fully lined, this beautiful suede jacket features side slits and is a car coat length. Slim fit; three-quarter sleeves. Three large suede-covered buttons down the front and two generous front pockets. The collar, a sort of chic Peter Pan style, is also removable. When unbuttoned the coat has a simple collarless round neck. There is one mild area of discoloration on the right pocket (see photos for details), and a small mark on the back of one sleeve, but these hardly detract from the incredible beauty of this 1960's piece. The previous owner's initials are stitched inside the coat -- this was typical of the time; in order to differentiate coats checked (at a restaurant, say, or at the theater) women would often add a monogram on the inside lining. An awesome piece of history in great vintage condition! Flat sizing suggests this would best fit a small or small-medium. (The Adler’s tag reads size 6.) See photos for details and for flat sizing.
