This belonged to my friend's Grandmother, who was an entertainer in Chicago. I believe this was hand made in Hong Kong. There was a period when beaded wool tops and dresses from Hong Kong were very popular. I have another item from that period listed, a yellow beaded tank top. I will be listing more from this grand lady!! This gorgeous piece is made with golden yellow pearls, and little flower collarettes around pearls. There are sequins in between the pearls at the hem and collar. It is labeled size 8, but would not translate to today's size 8. Fits my size 6 mannequin pretty well. DOES NOT STRETCH but it does have a little bit of "give"... that is, it doesn't stretch in the technical sense, but it will conform to curves. Measurements: Armpit to armpit 19" Length from shoulder 37" The dress alone weighs 1 lb, 9.7oz!
