Vtg ‘95 Anna Sui “Bérard Face” Print Dress Size Petite

The dress is from Anna Sui’s vintage spring '95 collection, “Bérard Face”. It features floral bouquets and faces designed by French artist Christian Bérard. It is a 40s-inspired design, which is casual yet elegant. Her designs often incorporate elements of nostalgia, fantasy, and rock and roll. This dress was featured in London’s Fashion and Textile Museum. Picture being worn in red by Madonna in June of 1995. The whole collection was based around the 1930s and 40s and the prints on the fabrics were taken from the Christian Bérard archives. This 1995 Vintage Anna Sui wrap sundress showcases a beautiful primarily back and blue color pallet, florals and faces, a plunge neckline, notched collar, short sleeves and a flattering midi length. No stains, rips, pilling, or loose threads. Front of skirt is pleated, back is not. Size petite, the manikin is a size extra small. Silk. No care tag. No lining. Very good condition. Minor seam splitting at waistband; minor discoloration at neckline and back.
